Antoinette Montage

Antoinette Montage

This weekend was spent dressing & styling my many Antoinette dolls with the aim of photographing them as a group.  I hadn’t realized how many there are, and I may have to do two, or more, group shots.

I had fun fiddling about copying, and resizing the individual photographs I took making doll sized magazines, and the montage shown above.

The cover of the magazine was created free of charge from website ( for magazine covers). They have lots of other things to make too (I am not associated with the site in any way),

I will be adding more full size pictures of my Antoinette ladies to my FLCKR account soon.

Glowing Muse (Bloom, Cameo & Honey)

Antoinette Trio

Looking through my doll family today I realised that I have three out of four Basic Antoinette dolls: Bloom, Honey and Spice.

I am now on the look out for a Cameo Antoinette to make the trio into a quartet.  Comparison of the various shades can be seen in the photograph below.

My love / hate relationship with Antoinette

Once upon a time not so very long ago, I bought my initial Antoinette doll.  When she arrived I was not very enamoured with her, as she looked sullen and I found her difficult to photograph.  I tried to persevere with her and took lots of photographs to find out how best to model her, but I still couldn’t feel the love for her and she was mainly left to one side.   She is “Wanton Antoinette”.

When I was tempted by another Antoinette I was torn as to whether to buy her.  Yes, she looked fantastic in the advertising pictures but would she look so good ‘in the flesh’ so to speak?   I went ahead and bought this one too, and she is “Wilful Antoinette” and that is when my love for her sparked.

I can now admit to being fully in love with this young lady and tend to photograph one or another Antoinette every day.  It is strange how a doll lover can look at a doll and see their individuality and build a relationship with them isn’t it 🙂   See more:

School Field Trip

The girls were more excited than usual to be going to school today because they were going on a trip to the castle grounds.  The reason for the excitement was that they didn’t have to wear school uniform, so they all planned to wear jeans.  Of course the school do not allow make up or jewellery to be worn, but you may spot one or two flouting the rules!

You may also spot four young men in one of the group shots, these are the guys that some of the girls met at the Common earlier this week (they sneaked into shot as the photo was being taken).  The school also has a policy of no boys, but this is another rule that often gets flouted.

I managed to get a few shots before ‘Sir’ (Mr Worthington) asked me to leave, to allow the girls to get on with their lesson (oops).
